Victims of corruption

We will continue to fight so that we are all recognized as victims of corruption

What does recognition as a victim of corruption mean?

This recognition will allow society to participate directly and effectively in the fight against corruption by ensuring our legal standing in criminal proceedings. Therefore, it will enable us to intervene if corrupt people try to use their power to go unpunished.

Our Inter-American Human Rights System litigation could transform the fight against corruption in Mexico and Latin America. If admitted and ruled favorably, this case may constitute a landmark precedent that forces national authorities to recognize the entire society as a victim of corruption and allow it to intervene in criminal proceedings to ensure due process of law.
